
The NAS-4030 is currently the only QNAP network storage servers to adopt triple Gigabit Ethernet technology, offering exceptional solutions for users requiring a desktop storage unit. The NAS-4030 utilises the Advanced Edition of QNAP firmware.
Triple Gigabit Ethernet: The NAS-4030 offers three gigabit etherent connections. Autosensing they allow three 10 / 100 or 1000 connections to be made to the NAS unit for increased data throughput and reliability.
Hardware Redundancy Protection: The NAS-4030 offers hardware redundancy protection over its components that can be plugged and unplugged while the system is in operation. This provides continuous data and system availability with no downtime.
Hot Swappable Hard Drives: The NAS-4030 features 4 hot-swappable hard drives to avoid downtime of business critical data availability and the possible loss of data. The hot swappable feature provides data protection in the event of an individual drive failure, the drive can be removed and a new drive can be plugged in without shutting down the system.
While the NAS-4030 unit operating in RAID 5 or 1 disk management, the bad drive can be removed and replaced with a new drive as a hot-spare. Our proprietary Operation System NASware OS will automatically configure the replacement drive and reconstruct the data from the lost drive and allow work to continue without interruption.
Hot Swappable and Redundant Power Supplies: To prevent failure of system components is a key ingredient of sustaining zero downtime in accessing vital business information. The design-in of redundant and hot-swappable power supplies makes the NAS-4030 continuing to operate in the event of a failure of power. The failed power supply can be replaced without interrupting service and provide high data availability at all time
